Since exiting college with $100,000 in debt is generally not a good idea, I've decided to attend Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon this fall. It's a tiny little college town near Salem. It's going to be strange, living in a town smaller than Anchorage. I've always thought Anchorage was tiny, but I suppose that's just when it's compared to other big cities. Monmouth has a population of ~10,000 people, compared to Anchorage's ~300,000. I still want to attend Lewis & Clark, so I intend to transfer there my junior year. Hooray for saving money. Classes at WOU won't start until late September, I believe, so per'aps I'll be visiting Polaris again before leaving.

In other news, I've recently regrouped my efforts to lose weight and be healthy again. One of my main forms of cardiovascular exercise comes from playing DDR. Trouble is, I'm out of shape, but still able to play well. So on Tuesday I played for an hour, fairly intensely, but it exhausted me far more than it once would have... I was barely able to survive half an hour playing on Wednesday, and yesterday I took a day off to focus on arms and abs. My calves still hurt today. Arms too, mostly the biceps, but not the abs or the pecs. More sit-ups and push-ups necessary!~ I'm also writing down what I eat and drinking more water. Wish me luck... I tend to be totally gung-ho about this sort of thing for a few days before falling back to my bad habits. .__.

Graduation is just over three weeks from now. I just need to survive another week of classes before intensives start. Waking up early is going to be tough for me, haha ^^;.

When it comes to writing, I haven't done much. I require inspiration and story ideas. However, I was forced into writing the fourth part of the god-awful chain story in Sispillé. It was hard to work with the story; I prefer writing completely on my own instead of relying on other people's retarded ideas, but it couldn't be helped. Once I got into a groove, though, it practically wrote itself, and I actually outdid myself. Normally, I don't have a large enough attention span to write more than a couple of pages, but this final installment of "The Golden Chalice" is a solid five pages in Word, 12 pt. font, single spaced, all that jazz. I'm not going to post it here on DA since the preceding parts to it are 1) terrible and 2) not mine. Point is, I wrote something sort of long, and I'm sort of proud. Now to just write... good stories. Ugh.

This weather is ridiculous. It's not supposed to drop 15 degrees in a day and snow all day like this. D: Traffic is awful and I'm afraid I'll have to miss watching the musical unless it stops snowing soon. Shame, that... but I'd rather not die. I already got in a minor highway accident during the last ridiculous blizzard; I could do without another.

I need a Wii and a job. :( What's a lazy person who's terrified of talking to strangers to do?

Edit: I found $5 today. It made me happy.
Edit #2: I used the phrase "In other news" twice. This can not be.
